Alternative Medicine Antibiotic, Interesting Inventor Thereof
I've ordered some of this alternative medicine antibiotic and will report on how it works when it arrives. The guy who came up with it is a fascinating old codger.

Be careful with sodium chlorite since the large doses that some people are recomending can destroy your red blood cells and make you anemic. There really isn't any safety data with people ingesting it especially at these high doses. If you get nausea and diarehea from it then you are not herxing like humble claims, you are probably being poisoned by chlorine dioxide. I've personally come to the conclusion that Jim Humble is full of crap about most of what he says. DYODD.
That said there is probably some benefit to taking it. It's been used for a very long time even before Humble popularized it. Normally its taken in much lower doses and isn't acidified to release the chlorine dioxide. Ed McCabe talked about it positively in his book "Flood your Body with Oxygen", with the caveat that some naturopaths feel it may be harmful. No one can really conclusively say one way or another. It's been sold for a longtime in healthfood stores (usually called something like "stabilized oxygen", or "liquid oxygen") so its probably reasonably safe in small doses. I just think the doses being recomended by Humble are insanely high. (They are actually thousands of times higher then 1ppm like he claims.) I haven't had much success with it. I actually caught a cold two weeks into using it and got a couple cold sores which hardly ever happens to me. It didn't seem to shorten their duration either. YMMV. This is a product that contains sodium chlorite that is sometimes found at health food stores: http://www.taoofherbs.com/images/pro..._detail_v2.jpg |

Thanks for a response after trying it. I intend to start with 1 drop. I only saw high dose recommendations for cancer, but then I did not look up the protocol for everything. It is purportedly less oxidizing that hydrogen peroxide, which I have used as a mouthwash without harm, so it ought to be ok for dental hygiene.
I'll probably try drinking it if I get a cold and see if my body reacts like yours. In general I have found alternative medicine less toxic than big pharma products, but also more widely varied in what is BS, what works for some people and what works for most people. And in general, it works more slowly and gently when it works. That does make his claims of very rapid cures questionable. Like the hemp oil I started taking is clearly having positive effects... our dog's hot spot not only filled in but her coat color got a lot darker and richer, but still, it is gradual and I would not expect it to cure everything. The one thing it was super fast on for both my wife and I was the places that were getting arthritic got immediate results. |
